18th PhD Series Seminar by Post graduates held on 27th February 2020 to share Research Findings the Faculty of Agriculture
The 18th PhD seminar was held on 27th Feb 2020 at the Faculty of Agriculture (FOA), College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences, University of Nairobi. The seminar started at 9.30 a.m. The seminar brought together postgraduate students from various departments within the FOA, who shared their PhD research findings to staff and students. This is a PhD seminar series programme in the faculty of Agriculture that aims at improving PhD research quality and also offers the PhD students an opportunity to share their research findings with fellow researchers. Dr. Koech Oscar from the department of LARMAT is the coordinator of the presentations in the faculty. The following students presented on their research topics;
Sussy Munialo -Soil and Management-related factors contributing to maize yield gaps in Western Kenya.
Jane Cheserek -The biochemical and sensory attributes of Arabusta coffee hybrids green bean (C arabica X Tetraploid C Canephora) in Kenya".
Trinity Senda -An assessment of the socio-ecological implications of communal land certification in pastoral areas of Dirre, in the Borana zone of Ethiopia
Stephen Ichami -Determining the prevalence of yield-limiting nutrient for maize crop in smallholder farming systems: a population-based farm survey approach
