Prof. Stephen Kiama is the new University of Nairobi Vice Chancellor

The University of Nairobi New Vice Chancellor delivered a powerful speech during his inauguration,His speech focused on instituting robust reforms that will restore good governance in the institution and also build stable financial base for the university. He also promised to institute measures that will minimize  internal wastage of resources,attract top  students and provide quality education.This will be achieved through collaboration and exchange programs with the best universities in the world.He also promised to create an environment that will foster intellectual curiosity,accommodate views  and establish  a teamwork related  environment among staff and students for better results.

During the inauguration the Education Cabinet Secretary , Prof. George Magoha praised the New Vice Chancellor  saying that we have an Exemplary track record in leadership and he has confidence in him.other leader present were ;The chancellor , Dr.Vijoo Rattansi,Chair of the Council Prof.Julia Ojoambo, Prof. Francis Gichaga, Prof. Crispus Kiamba and Prof. Peter Mbithi.
