The online version of the Varsity Focus September 2020 is out. The edition focuses on our activities for the first half of the year. In this issue we covered the installation of the 8th Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Kiama, who also shared his vision for the University. We have highlighted a special feature on the University’s key role in the concerted global initiatives in the fight against COVID-19.

Prof. Linus Opara from the University of Stellenbosch delivered key address in the virtual webinar that was held on October 7, 2020. He challenged attendees to look forward and gear towards improvement of food security. He indicated that the pandemic has exposed a lot of things and that we also need to think of food sovereignty apart form nutrition and food security.
