THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON FOOD SYSTEMS AND EFFECTS ON FOOD AND NUTRITION SECURITY

Prof. Linus Opara from the University of Stellenbosch delivered key address in the virtual webinar that was held on October 7, 2020. He challenged attendees to look forward and gear towards improvement of food security. He indicated that the pandemic has exposed a lot of things and that we also need to think of food sovereignty apart form nutrition and food security.

E-CONFERENCE ON SCP PRACTICES IN THE HORTICULTURAL SECTOR

An e-conference on SCP practices in the horticultural sector was held virtually and hosted by the University of Nairobi on 5-7 October 2020. The conference brought together micro, small and medium enterprises currently under Hortigreen project, academia, NGO and other stakeholders in horticulture and related food sub-sectors.

63RD GRADUATION CEREMONY ON 25TH SEPTEMBER, 2020

ORIENTATION OF FIRST YEAR STUDENTS, 2020/2021 ACADEMIC YEAR

Prof. M.Nyangito, an associate professor in the department of Land Resources Management and Agricultural Technology (LARMAT) has been appointment as Acting Dean; Faculty of Agriculture with effect from 4th August 2020. Prof. Nyangito has held various managerial/ administrative positionswithin University of Nairobi.
